AI Image Detector FAQ
Answers to the most common questions about detecting AI-generated images.
General Questions
What is an AI image detector? An AI image detector is a tool that uses deep learning algorithms to analyze a digital image and determine whether it was created by an artificial intelligence system or captured by a real camera. Our detector works with all major AI generators including DALL-E, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, Adobe Firefly, and more.
How accurate is this tool? Our AI image detector achieves over 95% accuracy on standard testing benchmarks. Accuracy is highest with uncompressed, high-resolution images. Heavily compressed social media images may have slightly lower detection confidence.
Is it free? Yes. You get 25 free scans per day without any registration. For bulk analysis or API integration, paid plans are available with higher limits.
Technical Questions
What image formats are supported? JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP. Maximum file size is 10MB per image.
Which AI generators can it detect? DALL-E 2 & 3, Midjourney (all versions), Stable Diffusion (1.5, XL, 3), Adobe Firefly, Google Imagen, Leonardo AI, and many others. The model is regularly updated.
How long does detection take? Typically 2-5 seconds per image, depending on file size and server load.
Can it detect AI-enhanced or edited images? Our AI image detector is optimized for detecting fully AI-generated images. For images that have been AI-enhanced (e.g., upscaled or partially inpainted), detection confidence may be lower.
Privacy & Security
Are my images stored? No. Images are processed in memory and never written to disk. We do not retain, log, or share your uploaded content.
Is my data secure? All connections use HTTPS encryption. Our infrastructure runs on Cloudflare's global network with enterprise-grade security, DDoS protection, and strict content security policies.
API & Integration
Do you offer an API? Yes. Our REST API allows developers to integrate AI image detection into their applications. Visit the API documentation page for details.
